I hope those of you that went enjoyed yourselves.
The committee noticed that, over the last few years, not many members entered the official competitions and we'd like to know why that is... Is there something else that we could be doing at SouthCon? Let a committee member know.
Since we didn't have the Hall for two club days leading up to SouthCon, we will be having two Sundays in June, but just to confuse you it is the 2nd and 4th Sundays, our usual days having already been taken.
The first meeting in July starts with our AGM, which includes presentation of the 2008-2009 Financial Statements and my President's Report. This is an opportunity to have your say as to what you want to see at the club. We also have the election of Officers, so have a think about who you want on the committee, thus who you want to nominate.
We also have the question of re-incorporating the club. This has two advantages:
- Committee members are protected,
- Makes it easier for the club to apply for grants and other funds for projects.
